New Short Story and other things

New short story: The Buck Stops Here

A new letter campaign is under way, targeting Lucasfilm and 20th Television.

Also reaching out to more Canadian entities- it was originally a CTV production and it would be cool if the new show came out of Canada as well.

New Short Story: Rachel

I was a little hesitant to start this one, but managed to put it together in a way I think works quite well. Rachel has questions about Omega, so she goes to the source…

And the hits keep not coming…

No, not depressed- I know this is going to be a slog. I have been traveling a great deal of late so no time to make changes, but I promise to get another story up this weekend.

The hardest part of this is building up content. Until there is enough, the site does not well serve its purpose.

New short story

This is the sad, but heroic tale of ECHO One Seven Five

Why do this?

I doubt this will ever bear fruit, particularly if I cannot attract others to get involved, but so far it cost me some time, effort and I think maybe $30 in stamps and envelopes. I will never make any money from this even if I succeed in getting somebody to pay attention. So, why do this?

It is a valid question with a simple answer: why not?

I never forgot about this show. I was ten or eleven when it came out, I am in my sixties now, and I have never forgotten it. When something sticks with you for half a century, you ought to look at it and figure out why. In this case, it was entirely the concept that stuck with me- I just believe a modern approach to this would have immense potential. Therefore, I finally decided to see if I could generate some interest.

Everything here is still in flux, but I am not giving up.

Part Two of “Morty” is up under Short Stories along with another piece of (obviously) AI-generated art!

Slow going…

Slow going, indeed.

I’ve been wrapped up in work and other life-things, but back at it once again. I am fixing the art page, promise. I spent a lot of time (read: wastred a lot of time) trying to generate a 5 or 10 second cinematic fly-by of the Ark, but every video rendering AI out there insists on rendering a cylinder or a saucer, even when provided specific dimentions AND a reference image, so if you are concerned about AI taking over everything… it has a ways to go.

The letter writing campaign continues apace, though everyone, including ChatGPT says that is a waste of time. For me, it is just a way to feel like I accomplished something when I really haven’t ;). It helps me get back on track.
