We both agree it’s time for a Movie. Tim Burton directs, Johnny Depp as Barnabus Collins.

    Not Depp. Depp is too elegant, too comfortable with himself. Go back to the original Dark Shadows and you’ll see how troubled, how small Barnabas Collins was. You want someone who can play a small, troubled man. Go with an unknown, that’s your best bet.

    Well, the first thing to keep in mind is that no director or producer in the business today would be able to refrain from ‘modernizing’ the tale. Also, Depp has proven himself a very adept and flexible performer- given the right director he could bring something unique to the character.
